A multi-storey cultural and commercial landmark on Hargeisa's main corridor, built on the site of the city's historic national theatre and now home to SOTEC's head office.
The Hargeisa Theatre Business Centre stands on the Road No. 1 corridor in the commercial heart of Hargeisa, on the site of the city's historic national theatre. The multi-storey building combines a cultural venue with offices, shops and services, and gives the capital a modern landmark at one of its busiest junctions.
SOTEC worked on the centre from the ground up: site clearance, excavation and the foundation platform, followed by reinforced-concrete structural works. Building in a dense, busy city centre called for careful traffic management, controlled excavation next to existing streets and close coordination with the city authorities.
SOTEC's own head office is in the completed building, which is the clearest statement we can make about the quality of the work.
Projects marked SOTEC include work by SOTEC and by its founder before the company was registered in 2012.
