About SOTEC
A Somaliland earthworks and civil contractor, founded in Hargeisa in 2012 to take part in the reconstruction of the region.
Who we are
Societe of Terrassement Construction Company (SOTEC Ltd) is a private limited company specialising in heavy earthworks, ground engineering, road construction, deep foundations, structural building and technical engineering services.
Our founder, Omar Aidid Ahmed, began in Djibouti, where he worked on hotel, port, free-zone and housing projects alongside international contractors, and on one of the largest land-reclamation programmes in the country. SOTEC was registered in Hargeisa in 2012 to bring that experience home.
Today we work from a head office in Hargeisa and branch offices in Erigavo, Burao, Berbera, Borama, Djibouti and Jijiga.
