Three municipal contracts: the World Bank-funded intra-city roads, the 2 km Orruba Hotel to Garowe Roundabout road and the 1.64 km NEC Road, all 7 m carriageways with drainage, kerbs and signage.
Garowe's first modern street programme was delivered through three municipal contracts: the World Bank-funded intra-city roads supervised by UNOPS, the 2 km road between the Orruba Hotel and the Garowe Roundabout, and the 1.64 km NEC Road.
All three were built as 7 m carriageways with traffic management, site clearance, earthworks, a granular sub-base and aggregate base, and bituminous surfacing, with drainage structures, kerbs, signs and reflective markings on the main routes. They were completed between 2020 and 2021.
This project was delivered by TTN Construction, SOTEC's partner. It is shown to illustrate the joint capability available to clients.
