Djibouti's free zones underpin its role as a gateway for trade into Ethiopia and the wider region. SOTEC delivered a 50,000 m² free-zone platform, working with a senior manager of the operator who also represented Suzuki Motors and served as Italian consul.
The scope covered bulk earthworks and compaction to create a level, load-bearing hardstanding for containers and vehicles, the internal road and drainage network, and the boundary walls and gates that a bonded zone requires.
Projects marked SOTEC include work by SOTEC and by its founder before the company was registered in 2012.
